Dr. Robert Feenstra is a professor at the Department of Economics, University of California, Davis, and is a holder of the C. Bryan Cameron Distinguished Chair in International Economics. He is the Director of the International Trade and Investment Program at the National Bureau of Economic Research. In September 2006, he recieved the Bernhard Harms Prize from the Kiel Institute for World Economics. In February 2007, he presented the Global Economy Lecture at the Vienna Institute for International Economics Studies, entitled Globalization and its Impact on Labor. In April 2007, he presented the Zeuthen Lectures at the University of Copenhagen, entitled Product Variety and the Gains from International Trade (MIT Press, 2010). In September 2008, he presented the Ohlin Lectures at the Stockholm School of Economics, entitled Offshoring in the Global Economy (MIT Press, 2010). In April 2011, he presented the Open Economy Lectures at the University of International Business and Economics, Beijing, entitled Offshoring to China: The Local and Global Impacts of Processing Trade. In April 2011, he presented the Yanfu Memorial Lecture at Peking University, entitled How Big is China?
